A new interview with Joseph Millson was shared by the Leighton Buzzard Observer. Joseph discusses his new book Work and Other Four Letter Words, and secribes the challenges of being an actor during the pandemic. 

Joseph said: “It’s not just a book for actors and those nosy about acting, there is a spine running through it which non actors have enjoyed enormously, the love affair we all have to develop with work itself. No golden secrets, but a huge dollop of stubborn optimism runs through the pages. “Writing this book over the last few years has been fascinating, joyful and occasionally painful as I revisit a few dark places.

So what made this a good time to write the book?

“I’ve been writing it on and off for a few years and lockdown was a great chance to put the hundreds of hours in to get it finished edited and sold.

“It’s been a joy, the cheapest, funniest therapy I’ve ever known. “It’s not just for actors, it’s for anyone who might wonder what the reality of a real actor’s life is like, not the champagne and air kisses, but the graft.

Joseph Millson's book Work And Other Four Letter Words is released today! And more fun is to be had this evening at the online launch party, which starts at 9pm on Zoom.

Joseph Millson was interviewed a few evenings ago by Michelle Jordan on BBC Radio Berkshire chatting about Work And Other Four Letter Words, which is released on 4th February. The interview is available to listen again on BBC Radio Berkshire for another few weeks - begins from 2:45 mark.
