Dance film by Clara van Gool, based on the acclaimed Banking Blogs by Joris Luyendijk in The Guardian, about the financial world in London.

Broadcast: Sunday, December 27th, 13:00 NPO 2

Ten characters take us through the heart of the financial world, the City of London. Their monologues are embodied and expressed by dancers from diverse backgrounds. These seemingly separate portraits together cause a chain reaction, analogous to the competitive, exhausting, uncertain, and stressed glamorous culture of the financial world, where every day could be the last. Voices of Finance takes place in a realistic setting of London of today. Each solo will take place on or around one location in the city, each with its own character. Through the abstraction through dance and through the use of time while jumping through a text, the style of Voices of Finance is similar to a video clip, but then spoken instead of sung. The ten dancers include from three top companies from the Netherlands and England: Dutch Dans Theater (NDT), the National Ballet and Rambert Dance Company.
